The slide section is vastly different and did not fit the fridge socket at all. The depth of the nozzle is also ~1mm too long. Does not match the product picture (like several other filters of these types it seems, GOOD.)

Although the product is described to be compatible with part 817413, the connection locking point is not compatible as can be seen in the attached photo. Hope I can find a replacement filter that does fit.

I have been using their product for a while, been buying them, using them, no issues. So, I pro-actively bought a 3 pack way before I needed it, back in Sept 2017. I tried for 15 minutes to get the new filter in and it wouldn’t turn. Upon further inspection of the old and new necks, there is a SLIGHT difference which is preventing proper installation. Note in the pictures, the right product is the Waterdrop that was in the fridge, the left is the new one. Note the difference, the left one has an additional cut that wasn’t in the other version. This NEW DESIGN will not work in my ~15-year-old fridge. I sent an email to them, will see how / if they respond.

We have ordered these before, no leaks, no issues. Just make sure you run a few gallons through the filter to rinse the filament before you use it.

I measured the water quality from the faucet water. It was 29. I measured the water from the water filtered (filter is only 1 month old) from the fridge and it’s 23! The culligan zero water filter is 0. I need a better filter for my refrigerator.

Necks are clearly different so they do not fit. Same part numbers. Shame on me for planning ahead because now since I’ve had these a little while they are not eligible for return. Will find another place to buy from and it won’t be waterdropoutlet.com. Seems sketchy it’s not eligible for return.

my old model # wd-8171413 for kenmore 46-9002 doesn’t accept this new currently same model # wd-8171413 anymore. due to redesigning the neck part as new revision doesn’t work on my kenmore mft date: 2003 anymore. why they’ve claimed the same model # between old and new even i tried my best to install NEW one but nothing work so i re-installed the OLD one without issue. wasted my time to return and lost some $.
