Waterdrop has not figured out the configuration of the newer LG refrigerator filter (LT1000P) connections. The mating feature on the filter will not connect to the refrigerator adapter. Several videos have been posted on YouTube and Waterdrop includes a flier with their filters showing how the incorrect filter will damage the refrigerator adapter. Waterdrop and others blame this on a design flaw by the refrigerator manufacturer – this is not true. An original LG LT1000P has a significantly different design. I removed and reinstalled it several times to convince myself that it is just fine. The Waterdrop filter mating feature has significant differences that prevent proper installation (see illustration).

FINALLY! I ordered several different replacement filters for my LRFWS2906V refrigerator. All the new filters seemingly did not fit and I ended up returning them all… a waste of time, plastic, resources, etc. Really sad. This filter was no different than all the other new style filters (top filter in attached photo.) HOWEVER, I happened to read one comment by another user that he had the same issue, but that it was solved when he wrote to the manufacturer and received a little plastic tool to adjust/turn the receptacle in the filter holder. I was skeptical since the old filter had no issue being popped in and out and because of the obvious physical difference in the filter tips… but he was correct! The tool did solve the issue. Apparently, the design change is responsible for the new filters not fitting in some people’s refrigerators, but the tool just twists the receptacle to the “proper” position so that the new filters can be used. The old tips were just less picky about the positioning of the receptacle. This also apparently explains why some people had no problem at all and others, like me, could not get these new filters to work at all, originally. This really should be explained in the product description and the tool should be included for free in a “kit” version for those that require it.

Bought the 3-pack of filters and installed one in my LG fridge. After only two weeks, it stopped allowing water to dispense out the door dispenser. Put a second one in and the fridge started working again.

Contacted the seller about being unhappy, since I paid for three and essentially got two filters. It’s been a week and no response from the seller.

My LG filter lasted 6-months. Gonna start buying OEM filters instead of these knock-offs.

Really like this water filter… I’ve had bad tasting water filters and didn’t think much of it until I realized flows probably should be more on my radar because of health issues; I can’t say it’s really doing all that much but flavor tastes great
I did do about 3 gallons if not 4 of filtration to make sure it was thoroughly soaked and nothing came through… idk but the water tastes great, considering an online filter for added benefits hope this helps
