First impressions: This Waterdrop pitcher arrived well-packaged and feels very sturdy. The faucet feature is an excellent touch for using it directly from the fridge, especially for reducing the need to lift heavy bottles.
I have not yet installed the included filter because I am in the process of relocating and currently have access to filtered water at home. I plan to update my review after several weeks of actual use with the filter installed. The unit itself is easy to set up and fits well in the fridge.
Why it is getting 4 stars –
I went to the waterdrop page to find the filters and stock up since they only last a month. They are 50 dollars for 4. That is 150 dollars a year. You would spend less buying bottled water at that rate. This is the biggest disappointment. I am used to filters that last 2 – 6 months and cost only 30 – 50 for the year. So, after my initial test, this will become a jug for dispensing water because I am not willing to spend 150 dollars on filters.

So this big ol’ Waterdrop filter has officially taken Brita’s spot in my fridge. It’s slim enough to fit without rearranging the entire shelf layout (thank goodness), super easy to fill, and the water does taste cleaner. Like, noticeably cleaner. The 0 TDS claim actually holds up so far—no weird aftertaste, no plasticky funk, just cold, crisp hydration.
That said… I do wish it had an indicator light instead of the old-school twisty dial to track the filter life. It’s 2025, and I have a server rack smarter than this thing. But hey, it gets the job done and my fridge feels a little more upgraded now. Solid choice if you’re looking to ditch the Brita.

This filter works pretty well for taking the off taste from our tap water but there are issues.
It’s slow, not so much so that you won’t have enough if you remember to keep it topped off but still.
The capacity is nowhere near what they bill it at, their 35 cup rating is only for the actual basin without anything else in it.
They recommend changing the filter once a month but they don’t really say by what metric. Is that with one person using it? five? Is it time sensitive specifically and not volume? They simply don’t say so you’re left in the dark for that. Replacement filters are available though.

This turned out to be a smart buy for me and my family. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it’s made staying hydrated way easier. This thing is huge, but not in an annoying way. It fits right on the fridge shelf without hogging all the space, and with 35 cups, I’m not refilling it every few hours. I’ve got kids, and we go through water quick, so this has been a game changer. The water comes out crisp and clean, no weird taste or smell. I just wanted something that made tap water taste better — and it delivers. Way better than those little pitchers I used to use.
Set-up was simple. I filled it, popped the filter in, and boom — good to go. It even has a little reminder that tells you when to change the filter. I love that it’s slim but still fits a lot of water. The shape makes it easy to slide in and out of the fridge. And when it’s low, it still pours smooth — no tipping or shaking it like crazy.
I’ve been trying to cut back on plastic bottles, and this helps big time. I don’t feel guilty grabbing water anymore, and my recycling bin isn’t overflowing with plastic.
