   Used this filter on a wilderness camping trip in upper Michigan. Used water from the lake, and it filtered it perfectly. No taste to the water. A little bulky for backpacking but it’s lightweight.

   Just put this together inline to my pressure washer. Junk the teflon tape that came in the box. It is crap. Also I see photos that connected directly to garden hose. The threads are pipe threads so you need adaptor on both sides to connect to garden hose set up. Both 3/4 but one is tapered. Tested the was and got sub 15 reading from 200 plus. Washed car in sun today and worked awesome. Left some spots on purpose. Must have for car detail but.

   I purchased this to filter the rinse water after we wash work vans and personal vehicles at the our shop. We are on city water. That being said there’s still a lot of water spots not much less than whether I use them or not. I even put new filters in that I purchased when I bought them. No different scene. The manual says one gallon a minute I can’t find any clarification if I have to reduce the flow or what the deal is. Any assistance would be great. I like the idea I like the platform, but the result is less than adequate

   This is a great system except for one thing, it’s not big enough for my water which has 170 ppm of dissolved solids (TDS). At a 2 gallon per minute (gpm) flow rate the TDS was still well above 10 which I don’t consider sufficient to get a spotless rinse for washing a car. Also, a two gallon per minute flow rate is barely enough for that purpose and the TDS would be even higher at 3 or 4 gpm. The bypass system and the frame are great and they could easily make this into a great system by simply making it with 20″ filters that hold twice and much resin. They would just screw in like the installed 10″ filters do. In, fact there are videos on you tube showing exactly how convert this system to 20″ filters, at extra cost of course. So I don’t understand why they don’t offer it with the larger filters. I hope they are listening.
   Update: The customer service was about the best I have experienced. They gave me a refund and another filter no charge. So, I can’t complain.

   I have always been happy with Waterdrop products so when I started my search for a DI water system for washing my car, I was immediately drawn to this setup. Using a TDS meter, I was able to determine that my city water was 159ppm. Unfortunately, this filter system was only able to bring the water down to 14ppm at 1.0 gpm which is a little disappointing. Additionally, when I received the filter, there was a large whole in the side of the box as it was not sufficiently packaged for shipping by waterdropoutlet.com. I will be trying this filter again on the next wash to see if I can flush out any contamination from manufacturing before deciding if I will return the filter setup for a different one. Update: After flushing the filters with 10 gallons of water, the PPM has now risen to 43 PPM @ 1.0gpm flow rate. The water coming out of the filter has become white and is very aerated. Extremely disappointed in the performance of this filter. I have tried to reach out to Waterdrop and have not received a response.

   Buyers of this filter system should be aware that both the connections on the filter are male garden house connections so it is impossible to connect the end of your garden to the filter. We ordered a set of quick connectors to hook our up. But in addition we had to order a female to female coupler to make it work.

    The bypass system and looks is a 10 out of 10 for sure but….it only works on regular water hose and I got 7 ppm not 0 …I watched “cars with keav” on youtube and he shows ways of making it work
