   Our family used to use a water server. We are all happy that we switched to water drop’s water purifier this time and are now able to drink surprisingly good-tasting water easily. And we no longer have to change heavy water bottles.
   After changing the filter for the third time, the water quality was not as good as usual, so we contacted water drop’s customer service. Krystal, who was in charge, followed the appropriate instructions and was able to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. We found this company to be excellent with generous after-sales support. I highly recommend them to anyone considering purchasing a compact home water purifier!

   I’d been relying on those pitcher-base water filters, but wanted to take the leap to an RO based system after moving into my new place this past summer. After doing a lot of research, I settled on the Waterdrop G3P800 system because it seemed to hit the sweet spot of great design and filtration performance (I own a number of products that have won the Red Dot Design Award and trust me, you will never regret owning a product that has won the Red Dot). So even though the jG3P800 was pricey, I reasoned the cost couldn’t compare to being able to drink and cook with water that is free of not only common contaminants like lead, but newer, harder-to-filter stuff like PFAS “forever chemicals” that many filters won’t catch. As such, the main points about why I chose the Waterdrop 800GPD are: * 800 gallons per day capacity * Efficiency (only 1 cup of waste water for every 3 cups of purified water) * Informative indicators on both smart faucet and main filtration unit (see pictures) * Easy-to-replace filters with indicators that let you know when you need to do so * Tankless, on-demand system (no need to worry about bacterial build up in tanks) * Integrated, in-line UV light to kill any bacteria that might have bypassed filtration * Extensive 9-stage filtration, including PFAS “forever chemicals” * Sleek, futuristic, integrated design that looks great both above and below countertop (and leaves plenty of space under) So it was to my great dismay that when my package arrived, I discovered the smart RO faucet was actually missing in the box! I immediately contacted Waterdrop support via waterdropoutlet.com.com, but in my anxiousness, I also ended up calling their toll free number. I was pleasantly surprised when someone actually answered the call in less than 5 minutes, as I was in a fairly sour mood given that a major component was missing on an expensive purchase. After explaining my situation, Waterdrop offered to send a replacement faucet out immediately. There was no back-and-forth—the agent on the phone just asked me to verify my shipping address and the missing part. Just two days later, I received a package with the smart RO faucet inside! The installation itself took a few hours (it helped that I already had a hole for the smart faucet pre-drilled into the countertop). I’m sure it would have gone faster had I had more experience with plumbing, but as long as you read the directions carefully and/or watch the installation videos, installing the RO system should be relatively straightforward. The most difficult part was drilling a 1/4″ hole into the waste water pipe in order to connect the wastewater line from the Waterdrop filtration unit to. The best moment? When I plugged in the RO system to the under-counter power outlet and turned the 800 GPD on. It was lovely watching the displays light up and the RO system do its thing (you need to initially flush the system for 30 minutes, but the smart display on the faucet will let you know when the water is ready for drinking). I’ve now been using the Waterdrop RO system for almost 2 weeks now. I naturally use it for all drinking and cooking needs now, but given the extremely fast flow rate and the endurance of the 3 hefty filters, I am also using it to do a final rinse of all my dishes and flatware (I prefer to hand wash my dishes vs. running the dishwasher). I’ve also noticed my cats seem to love the taste and the purity of the water as well. In conclusion, I am completely delighted with my Waterdrop RO system. The hiccup with the missing smart faucet was annoying, but Waterdrop’s responsive and helpful customer service really made up for the packaging oversight. Thus, without any reservations, I can heartily recommend the Waterdrop G3P800.

   UPDATE: We’ve had the Waterdrop for two years now and it’s still working perfectly. I even added a third run to our Keurig coffee maker that uses an Alexa enabled Wi-Fi valve to refill its water tank. We no longer need to use filters, descale, or manually fill up the tank! We’ve been using the G3P800 for almost a month now and it’s been good. I installed the unit in the basement below our kitchen island sink to keep the cabinet clear for storage and because the unit is a bit noisy. I installed the PMT small pressure tank kit which enables instant water at the faucet about 8 feet horizontally and 6 or 7 feet up. It also allows constant pressure to the icemaker almost 30 feet away which gives us clearer hard ice without all the chalk and scale. I would give five stars, but the unit comes up short in a few areas. For one, it should include a small pressure tank built in for the price which would simplify the installation further. It should at least include the kit. Another issue is that the LLDPE tubing leaves an undesirable “hose” taste when the water is sitting, especially first thing in the morning. It’s not a big deal to run the faucet for a couple of seconds to clear the 1/4″ tubing and “hose” taste, but our ice always has a slightly stale taste since the line to the ice maker can’t be cleared first. Copper tubing is a no-no for acidic RO water and a charcoal filter may help mitigate the slightly off tase, but our freezer doesn’t have a built-in filter. Finally, it’s inexcusable that Waterdrop doesn’t make a faucet in anything other than the included brushed nickel or special-order black. Really? The faucet is very nice (but contemporary) and seems well constructed, but our home has traditional polished chrome. Why not offer a polished finish? Instead, we opted for an inexpensive and much smaller traditional polished chrome RO faucet from waterdropoutlet.com that only required a half inch hole. It works great but doesn’t show the filtration info. Regardless, even if Waterdrop provided a polished chrome finish, their short cable wouldn’t have reached the faucet since Waterdrop assumes everyone is installing the unit right under the sink. One last thing to note is that the TDS does settle downward after a few days of use like Waterdrop support says. Our TDS was taken down from approximately 300 ppm to 43 ppm and has settled in between 15 and 18 ppm after a few weeks – a roughly 92% to 94% TDS reduction. Waterdrop, please offer the faucet in polished chrome and offer a longer data cable! The G3P800 would be a 5-star RO filtration system for sure.

   Stanco di comprare bottiglie di acqua ho optato per questo depuratore della waterdrop G3P800 completo di sterilizzatore UV. Istruzioni per installazione in inglese ma molto intuibili. Disponibili in rete video per il montaggio e devo dire che nonostante io sia uno smanettone, sono riuscito ad installarlo senza problemi nonostante le iniziali titubanze. In aggiunta ho comprato un filtro di rimineralizzazione MNR della stessa ditta da installare tra l’uscita del depuratore e il filtro UV per rendere meno piatta l’acqua da bere. Il sistema si segna un TDS in uscita di 35 cui vanno aggiunti i minerali poi aggiunti dal filtro aggiuntivo che ho messo pertanto credo che l’acqua raggiunga un valore di TDS intorno ai 60 ed è buona al palato.
   Assistenza del venditore super, rispondono subito e sono super disponibili (ovviamente bisogna parlare inglese)

   We are on municipal water with no significant sediment or any other impurities in the water. I bought this to add an extra layer of filtration for arsenic, heavy metals, and any other items. I love everything about this, except for the waste. We specifically bought this because of the 3 cups of pure water to 1 cup of waste, water ratio. I thought I heard it running pretty frequently for flushing, so I put out a 5 gallon bucket under the red waste water tube and specifically poured 1.5 gallons of water from the Waterdrop faucet. Sure enough, it then pumped out a little over 2 gallons of waste water, so almost 1:1 ratio. I figured maybe this was a one off and I would just let it cycle/purge overnight and start again in the morning. Well, I just poured myself one cup of water and I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story. The clear container is exactly one cup of water, The green container is the amount of waste water that was pumped out. Something is not right. I’m not sure if this is defective, or just the norm, but advertising the 3:1 ratio is wildly inaccurate. **UPDATE** the manufacturer responded to my email and said that even if I poured as small as 8 ounces, the filter will flush after each use. They do not consider that “waste” water. By my calculations, it’s 1L of wastewater for every time you turn on the faucet. Even for a few drops of water. I’ve done 8oz of water – it was 3oz direct waste water plus 36oz of flush wastewater. So 8oz clean to 39oz waste. I’ve done 56oz into a bottle, and it’s 36oz direct wastewater + the 36oz flush. So still not 1:1. This system is advertised as up to a 3 clean to 1 waste ratio. How is this NOT A LIE??? This thing sends your water bill through the roof!!!

   Jednostka filtrująca bardzo głośno pracuje (załączam film). Szczególnie irytujące jest to kiedy włącza się procedura samoczyszczenia (30-40s) a jest środek nocy ! Wylewka występuje jedynie w wersji z kranikiem po prawej stronie. Jestem leworęczny i przez to strasznie niewygodnie mi się z tego korzysta. Dlaczego nie można było zaprojektować kranika centralnie? (są takie na rynku). To jednak wszystko nic w porównaniu do trzeciego, największego problemu. Nie wiem czy to jakiś element mechaniczny czy same filtry ale po pewnym czasie użytkowania z urządzenia wydziela się intensywna i nieprzyjemna woń. Byłem przekonany, że to jakaś awaria rur kanalizacyjnych!
