   I brought this on a whim for a 2-day backpacking trip to use with my Sawyer mini. Previously I used my MSR handpump that takes forever. This thing was a show stealer. Everyone was impressed. Just dunk the 1.5 gallon (6 L) bag, hang it, and you can fill multiple bottles within 3-5 minutes. There’s no need to squeeze it and it’s quicker than a gravity setup.

   I bought two of these bags about 3 years ago and they have been awesome.

   My only complaint is that they should come with a few extra O-rings because those tend to get damaged and need replacement. For folks that are curious they seem to be 11mm OD x 7mm ID x 2mm width and are not that expensive. (Which is kind of why I think a handful included with each bag would be a nice thing and only cost Waterdrop less than a cent per bag.)

   Good value for money so far. I only tested it at a sink. CONS: When filled to 1.5gl line, the roll top didn’t seal. I got it to seal with “~1.25gl” and an extra roll or two. The measure marks are inaccurate. I poured 1 gallon into the bag and it filled it to over an inch above the “1gl” line. The pinch valve allows some water to flow. This is probably because the hose is a little stiffer than what the clamp was designed for. The hose is a little stiff. Stiffer than a Platypus hose for example. PRO: the outlet has a check valve so you can remove the quick-disconnect hose for filling and transport. It didn’t leak. The strap seems good and it has swivels on the hooks. I got this to replace a 3 liter bag that only had a small opening. I could only ever get it half full in shallow water so I had to make at least 2 trips to the water source. This new bag should allow me to fill it in shallow water once and have enough to fill my drinking bladder and use at camp with only one trip to the source. I’ll update this review when I get more experience. UPDATE: I used this backpacking and it worked well. Turns out I still need to use my pot to scoop water into the bag in shallow water. But the large opening, handle, and large volume are good. I have also replaced the hose with a softer hose to solve the pinch valve from leaking. I reused the fitting it came with.

    Brought it backpacking instead of the small sawyer pump we usually carry. It was easy to clip this to the outside of the pack so it’s accessible when you come across a water source. The bag seems to be durable and held up through a week in Corsica.

    I bought this in case SHTF as a prepper, and would add on my water filter to the tube to dispense water into a food grade bucket wuth dispenser. Also good for fresh water for camping. Can use it for cleaning dishes, hands, drinking etc while camping. The only CONS, they should include a cleaning kit with brush, and the tube is not that flexible. It’s a hard tube. Hopefully it will last. I don’t know the inner dimension to buy extra tubing. The bag is nice. It’s velvety on the outside. Nice silicone bag. Seems strong. I have not used it yet. Keeping it in my BUGOUT BAG. Allows you to hike light so u don’t need to carry around full bottles of water. Just make sure you have a water filter to attach. I recciment “membrane solutions” water filter over any other brand. I tested the filter. It fits perfect with this tube included. This is great for filling and keeping on your kayak or boat too!

    This this works great. I think it’s a bit big for longer distances but I did pack it into a back country base camp in the dunes on lake Michigan, in April. I didn’t want to go up and down the dunes for water all the time… They’re brutal…. And the wide opening made this a fast fill in Lake Michigan when I had to wade out into the really cold water to avoid a bag full of sand. For a solo, I could fill this once or twice a day and have plenty of water for cooking and drinking and hygiene/dishes.

    It’s really sturdy flexible material and it worked great with the sawyer squeeze…. You need an adapter for the hose end to the filter but they come with the sawyer system. It actually filtered really fast….I just used a lightweight bungee to secure it to the tree instead of packing that big strap. The plastic clip to pinch off the water supply is really stiff at first but it loosens up and I don’t think it’s awesome in quality but not a deal breaker. I would definitely like to find one slightly smaller if they make them for longer distance trips but for two or more people on trail this would be awesome as well.
