Just received this water filter in about five days. It looks sturdy and good quality on opening the box, but haven’t used it yet. I plan to keep it handy for emergency use only but it looks like it would be excellent for camping, hiking or survival use. I’ll keep mine next to my big jugs of emergency water supply just in case.
I can also quickly pack it into my car if I ever have to evacuate my home and can use it to keep hydrated from most water sources like lakes, rivers, streams, ponds etc. It can be used alone as a straw, or as gravity fed from the water bag provided, whatever the circumstances demand. All in all a good purchase in my opinion.

Filters water perfectly, it taste great too depending on where you filter it. sometimes its hard to fill the bag depending on what kind of water source you can find.

It’s very affordable, but you must be cautious with the components to ensure they last. Make sure to backwash regularly to clear the filter unit. Do not leave the tube and filter connected to the water bag to just hang and linger for a long time when it’s not in use, it can wear out the valve on the bag. My first order, the bag’s valve failed and I also lost my connector’s O-ring. I asked for a replacement bag and they refunded me all the money. So I bought another unit and have tried to be as careful as possible. I use it to filter out pond water to water the chickens and also drink the water myself when I run out of storebought. I’m still alive lol

We bought this filter for a camping trip in Northern MN. Rather than carrying in water we wanted to filter lake water for drinking. The taste was great! The water had a yellowish tint to it, but with a little research I figured out it was tannins from plants/leaves/pine needles in the lake and was harmless. My friend was with us and they have used this same filter for several years and like it. It filters quickly.

Sand wont work, gravel wont work, heck leafs and pine needles wont go through the filter. None of these things make water. Until I put water in the water filter (dirty water) and behold water came out! 10/10 water filter! 0/10 sand filter. Jk its a great filter Ive used it 6 times on 1-3 day backpacking trips and it hasnt failed me once.

Love this product. I recently bought it for my backcountry camping in Algonquin. Super easy to use, water comes out tasting just like water – no weird taste or chemical taste. I highly recommend. The only thing I wish it has was another bag to store the fresh clean water. Hard to only have the water come out as is instead of leave it to filter in a bag ready to drink. It comes with a little water bottle but it only attached to the filter. I ended up buying a water storage bag with a spout and it was perfect
