I have two refrigerators that use this filter cartridge. In the first (Thermador T36FT820NS, same as a Bosch 800 French door refrigerator) it works just fine. Here the filter resides in the upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment; the filter is easy to grasp to twist it on/off the filter fitting. In the second (Thermador T30BB925SS) the filter sits below the freezer drawer. To make it possible to grab the filter and twist it on/off the fitting (since it sits inside the refrigerator body by about 2 inches), there is an extension handle that clips on to molded openings on the end of the original Bosch filter (filter on right side of picture.) The Waterdrop filter, despite the same model number, does NOT have these molded openings. (Left side filter in picture.)There is a molded tab on the Waterdrop filter that the extension handle will slip over, though not securely.

I waited until we needed to replace the first one of these filters before reviewing. It’s been just over 4 months and my spouse is starting to complain about the water quality so I’d say we get about a month or two less than the OEM Bosch filter. That said, at half the price the savings more than male up for a slightly accelerated replacement schedule, so I’m still happy to use these. No issues with noise, leaks or any other negative mentioned in other reviews.

My most recent filter isn’t dispensing water. I followed all the troubleshooting and nothing seems to be working. I can’t return it or ask for a replacement as my return period has passed but I knew something was wrong when I installed it as my fridge acted strangely but eventually corrected itself. Now the fridge doesn’t dispense or activate at all. It worked fine with my last Waterdrop filter so I might have just got a defective one and am not sure I should buy another or just buy the oem.
