   I have never had an RO system before so its possible that some of this is common knowledge or common for RO systems in general but I wanted to share my overall newbie experience in case it helps someone like me.

   This RO system seems to work fairly well so far. A couple things I’ve noticed:
   1. It is pretty simple to install. The link to their YouTube video was the most helpful. The only thing that I really had an “issue” with is that the water line from my faucet was just a hair too thick so it wouldn’t easily connect to the feed water adapter. I wasn’t planning on writing a review so I didn’t take pictures. Regardless, I just took a knife and scraped off some of the extra plastic on the line coming from the faucet and pressed hard and finally got it. After that it was a breeze.
   2. You will have to drill a hole into you drainpipe. It is super easy to do but just be aware that you’ll have to do some drilling. (If you have little to no plumbing experience, don’t be scared, PVC pipes are pretty easy and cheap to replace in the unlikely event that you’ll need to replace a mistake during this installation. If you drill slowly, you’ll be fine.)
   3. Before installing the RO system I had an outlet with space for two plugs. Both of them were already being used; one plug was for the dishwasher and the other was for the garbage disposal. If your setup is like mine, keep that in mind because you will have to plug this unit in under the sink. I ended up unplugging my dishwasher since we only really use it to dry dishes but I’ll have to come up with a more permanent solution soon.
   4. As far as the operation, I’m pleased. The manual says it may take up to three seconds for water to start flowing. I haven’t noticed that but there is a tiny delay. The biggest thing is that it does take awhile for the TDS count to “bottom out” I put it in quotes because it wont be zero but it will be significantly reduced. For example, before running through this RO system, the TDS count was just above 400ppm. This system reduced it to about 25ppm. Because it reduced it so much, I’m ok waiting. I will usually just fill up a large water bottle so I don’t have to keep going back to the faucet. As you can see in the video, It took almost a full minute to get down to the 25 ppm range. I turned off the faucet then turned it back on right away and it took about 2-3 seconds. I turned it off and came back about 15 minutes later and it took about 45 seconds to get down to the 25 ppm range. Considering the waste water to filtered water is a little higher for this unit than other ones I’ve seen, its a little annoying to have to waste 45-60 seconds of water (32-ish oz) before you get to the lower ppm range. All things considered, though, being that the filtered water I have been drinking from the fridge comes in around 270, I don’t mind waiting for good clean water. The solution for me was to invest in some large water bottles and fill them all up at the same time. It saves a few trips to the kitchen that way too.
   5. Finally, it is really quiet which is nice. Its sound is mostly masked by the sound of the running water coming out.

   I had this system for a little over 2 years. A connection inside the system came loose (see photo) and nearly flooded my downstairs. Luckily, I found it while constantly running and spilling water out from under the sink. Because I was past the 1 year warranty, customer support offered 40% off my original purchase price and a complimentary $30 water pitcher. No thanks! In my opinion, these connections are very cheap and the system should have an auto shut off leak detector.

   The box it came in was damaged but the unit was fine, no damage or scratches. I ordered the extra(small) tank and the MNR filter because I hooked it up to the fridge (LG). (also ordered the bypass for the fridge filter for a better flow). Because I didn’t want to drill a hole in the counter I mounted the tap under the sink. I hooked it up to the fridge anyway! If I want to test the quality of the water I fill up a glass with tap it came with. It has display that shows it, which is a very nice feature IMO. I am an engineer so it was an EZ PZ install for me. 🙂 The instructions are very good too. The small tank is behind the unit btw! (can’t see it in the pic). Overall a good quality and quiet unit so far!

   Being the first system of its kind I have installed, it was super easy with clear instructions. No issues with leaks after several months of use, and the filter is holding up great. This will save us hundreds in bottled water and we use it for everything from coffee, dog bowls, ice machine, water bottles, you name it. I cannot attest to how accurate the TDS meter is as i don’t have another to compare. The lower water flow takes some getting used to but manageable. The pump is fairly loud but not annoying although I do wish it was quieter. Overall very happy with this product, and even with replacement filters costing $100, we will still save a lot of money in the long run.

   We had this Waterdrop RO system recently installed by a plumber and couldn’t be happier with it. The LED faucet truly makes this model stand-out from the other models. You can see the TDS in/out and there’s a useful filter indicator. No need to look underneath the cabinet! Our tap water goes from 160 TDS to 25 TDS in about 30 seconds – the water tastes great. Honestly, the installation was a headache for us. We have a dishwasher/disposal and the provided drain adapter wasn’t wide enough for our drain. I recommend buying this piece now on waterdropoutlet.com if you have a wider drain and want to save yourself from a major headache later when you go to install it: ET116-001 Drain Line Adapter (DLA) With 1/4-inch Quick Connect Fitting for a Water Filter and 7/8-inch Fitting for a Dishwasher. We also needed a new outlet installed by an electrician – so plan ahead. For us, the install was not 30 minutes, it was more like a 30 day process. Overall, it’s truly a great, hi-tech RO system that produces high-quality water. Just be prepared, potentially, for a long install process depending on your set-up.

    Easy to install and works well. Not sure how it rates up to traditional osmosis systems as I didn’t measure the solids each time. This measures continuously which is nice. It the solids are initially higher than I like, I use the first few ounces on our plants.
