Unfortunately, it was past the point of being able to return this when I finally got around to having this installed (even though it’s a DIY thing, my plumber was already working on something else, so he attempted it). My plumber found it was NOT a compatible replacement for the F-1000 Insinkerator filter, and showed me exactly what was wrong. Luckily it was not a great deal of money, but it is still money lost. Better to buy the much pricier OEM than a “compatible” and less expensive replacement that turns out to be anything but a replacement.

Ordered as I needed a replacement for my Insinkerator F1000 filter. The Insinkerator brand is getting expensive and this was a cheaper option. The filter slid into the filter housing without issue and I ran the instant hot water for a few minutes to purge the air and carbon from the filter.

I will update in the future with any issues or water taste that comes up.

It appears exactly like my original in-sink-erator filter & was supposed to replace it; but the very top plastic detail is just slightly different so it does not fit properly…..glad I only ordered one🥲
