Had this over a year. I do like it for its convenience and we drink a lot of water and the filter light still has not come on. What I do not like and why I did not give 5 stars is that the tank is truly a job to clean. I have calcium in the water and iron. I have tiny hands and can barely get my scrubbing pad to clean the bottom and in the tank by hand. Tank needs to be a bit bigger for ease when cleaning and this review would have been 5 stars.

I originally bought an under the counter from Waterdrop. After using a water trester, I was extremely shocked to see the number of TDS was not much less then the tap water! I emailed them and got some information and suggestions. Andrew was so helpful; he suggested the reverse osmosis system, which would filter out the chemicals and the TDS. He also gave me two suggestions; another under the counter and on on the counter (self sustained system). I chose the ladder because I’m short. The first counter system experienced some pumping issues due to the long shipping process. I emailed them again and Kimberly was more than helpful, I did a quick exchange and she offered me an additional filter for my inconvenience. This company demonstrates what customer service used to be like here! They truly are making customer service great again.

With 3:1 clean water to waste water, this rates very high in efficiency. A bonus is UV (ultraviolet) treatment. Total dissolved solids are displayed while dispensing. The water tastes great.
Dispensing is quick. For large volumes in a short period of time it will be necessary to refill the tank.
There is no obvious way to attach a remineralization filter. Probably the easiest way to remineralize is to use a stick such as the one offered by Santevia.

I’ve only used the water filter for 24 hours, but so far it’s been great! The setup was incredibly easy. Just taking plastic wrap and tape off all the parts and filling the machine up with water. It runs a first use cleansing cycle to clean the filter of manufacturing debris initially and then you’re good to go. I ran a few extra liters of water through before drinking any just to be safe. The water tastes noticeably more clean than the regular tap water (which I’ve been drinking my entire life). The machine seems to hold a decent amount of water and as a single person probably will only need to be refilled every 1-3 days depending on how much I drink. I also like that it tells you what the TDS levels of the water are for every glass you dispense so you can see how well the filter is working and when it may be time to replace. For now it has reduced the TDS of my water from ~170 down to ~14. A major improvement!

I purchased the water drop about a month ago. It was leaking. I talked to Carina she sent me a new one right away with a one year warranty. Great company to deal with. Thanks again Carina.

May 2024 I purchased the Waterdrop countertop RO waterfilter. Love the product and rely on it for my drinking water. The water where I live is absolutely not drinkable. This machine is easy to use and with it my water tastes like bottled water. It is absolutely worth the price. After a year, I started having problems with one of the water ports on the back of the filter. I emailed the service department at Waterdrop and I was contacted the very next morning by Robbie Li. Robbie put me in contact with the technicians and they did their best to help me remedy the situation but nothing worked. Within 2 days I received a new replacement machine with filter and was sent a return label for the broken machine. I really appreciated Robbie’s prompt attention to my issue. I am very happy with the product and 2 of my family members have purchased it as well and have had no issues at all.

I’ve been using it for 2 years now. Recently, I noticed an issue—if I don’t dispense the filtered water within 3 hours, it develops a pungent taste and smell. The filter life indicator hasn’t turned on yet, so it suggests there’s still life left in the filter. Before this, it was working fine and the water tasted great.

Good system, good water, good design, but vague directions.
For tech support call the US number if you live in Canada
Your instruction manual should be more informative and in a larger font.
After flushing your system for the first time and you get a reading under 20 you are good to go. The 20 on the manual makes you think that you have to reach that number before you can use the water.

The water is amazingly light, feels fluffy almost, taste-wise personaly, i really loved it, but it’s nothing alike to bottled water, brita, tap, etc. It pours pretty fast, we use about 4 full tanks a day, and it doesn’t become much of a hassle. Changing the water I’d say was the annoying part for me, the tank is super tall and doesn’t fit into my kitchen sink, so i have to take it to my bath sink, also since it removes by pulling it upwards, and i have shelves right over the system, i have to pull the whole system out and take the tank, it’s my personal problem with the lack of adequate space, but worth mentioning. Also i use a massive jug, 2.5gal, to store the water it filters, and i really wish if it was possible to set a custom volume of pour, there’s 4oz, 8oz, 16oz and 32oz, would be far more comfortable to have a “full tank” pour option perhaps.
