This kit is good quality and everything you need to hook up an ice maker. I did not need the thread tape that was included. All connections are compression fittings or include a rubber gasket.

We’ve had the new filtration system 4 months now. I was very impressed by the ease of installation. It was a great alternative to running separate water line and together with the length of service for the filter, lower cost of the filter compared to other units available and the ease of replacement without creating a mess are all perfect. We preferred this over the previous 3 stage reverse osmosis system located in the basement with a separate copper tube. The water tastes great also. Exceeded expectations.

I purchased this KITB kit for my Waterdrop 10UA-UF 0.01 μm Ultra Filtration Under Sink Water Filter. My use case: Have the filtered, cold water run up to my water to my sink faucet and to my refrigerator’s water line. That’s exactly what this kit is for. My sink doesn’t have a separate “drinking water” faucet, it’s a single faucet. Therefore this KITA kit (not the other KITB kit) is what I needed. With that said, I did run into some initial leak issues that I overcame with the included Teflon tape. I also have concerns about longevity since the water feed adapter / shutoff valve is mostly plastic as well as the tube sleeves. Lastly, I wish the kit came with some 1/4″ OD compression caps (the same size as the included compression nuts). My under-sink shutoff valve is a dual outlet type valve. So I needed to cap off the smaller side that used to run to the refrigerator. Waterdrop doesn’t sell nor include those, so I had to purchase caps separately. Seems like those should be included as extras for that specific use case. Waterdrop support is great BTW. They helped me figure out that conundrum.

When searching for an undersink water filter, I chose a Waterdrop because it looked like it would do the job and fit the available space. But also important was the ability to easily attach the filtered water line to my new refrigerator. Directions were clear, all the necessary parts were enclosed and appeared to be of very high quality. I was absolutely thrilled when I turned the water pressure back on, no leaks were present, and the ice maker began working. Felt like a real handyman!

This kit has all the adapters your particular scenario could need, and I’m glad it has a shut-off valve as well. The line looks a little cheap, as it’s just plastic, but it shouldn’t matter. We use it just for the ice-maker, so I’m not sure if there is any flavor difference from the new plastic, but everything installs nicely. It was a nice gesture to include a small spool of teflon tape, as well.
