We bought a 30 yr old beautiful country home. (We have our own well, and our own septic). One of the first things we did was replace the whole house filter in its housing; in less than 4 weeks, however, our whole house water filter was over half full of silt/sand. This was repeated twice, until one morning we had no water at all: our well pump died. We added a condom filter at the end of the new well pump to help offset this sandy sludge, as we verified the water table was accurate (plenty of water and the well pump was quite deep). A month later, same issue so husband saw this sediment spin filter, and we are forever grateful for finding it! We can change out the disposable filter in this sediment when needed as well as its easy to back flush when necessary! Now our whole house filter lasts a few more months, please always keep these spin filter disposable filters in stock !
