I have installed this filter to my radiant heat floor system to catch any solids and particles that get into the system accidentally. It is quite well made with very stylish look. The package provides quite a few options for connections. The housing itself have female 3/4″ NPT and male 1″ NPT connections. In my case, I used one side to connect to a female 1″ and the other side to a male 3/4″ fitting. The package also includes two adaptors to connect to the male 1″ NPT and provides 3/4″ male NPT ends in union style. You should have at least one union style adaptor installed on the line to make it possible to service the line or potentially replace the housing. There are additional two adaptors to connect to both ends with 3/4″ male NPT and provides push fit connections. The union style adaptors are perfect for my tankless water heater to transition 1″ NPT connections to 3/4″ water lines.

the water bowl is surprisingly robust. The top housing is nice and thick metal. the washable filter is great and this helps immensely in my situation, where I use it to filter the water for my shop. Its nice to be able to reuse the filter and not remember to keep a supply of filter cartridges especially since my water use varies a bit more at the shop vs a household. I had fairly hard water especially relatively large bits of calcium and this has seemingly cut down on that but I will update the review if I find otherwise. So far though, it seems like a smart investment for anyone, even if you stop with just this filter. Dont expected life changing perfectly filtered water but this can help extend the life of appliances and make things like washing clothes, dishes and cars more effective.

I was surprised this came with fittings (compression and sharkbite type), drain hose for back wash, and the filter wrench for installation. Also has a spare oring and seals. Other listings picture these items however this seller did not.
Installation is very straightforward. No leaks and a very impressive improvement to my water.

The product description wasn’t clear about what’s included, so I uploaded a picture with all the parts in the kit. It includes everything I can think of for installing this with a regular ¾ inch house water pipe, except a mounting bracket. As a result, I have to use my own mounting brackets to hold the fittings once it’s installed. The kit also includes ¾ inch push in fittings, and 1 inch to ¾ inch union fittings. The filter and the housing are well made and work as intended.
