I use this product in the US and I’m pretty secure that there isn’t bacteria in my water that I can’t handle. However, if someone bought this expecting it to be a true bacteria filter- that’s a lie. Look at the text they use (pic included) - then they don’t mention it again. They are extremely deceitful and I don’t like a product that needs to be lied about to be sold.

I've installed water filters under almost all of our bathroom sinks in our house to provide filtered water without having to run back to the kitchen. Since we're on city water, the filtering is just to remove the chlorine taste of the water--there's no need for filtering sediment, etc. All of the filters take the standard 2-1/2" x 10" water filters, so when we do change the filters, we need a mess of them. At the big orange or blue box stores, these filters aren't cheap, so when I saw these filters, I thought they looked like a pretty good deal for a four pack. We aren't yet at the point where we need to change out the filters, but I am pretty confident that these will work just fine for our needs. What I like about these filters as compared to others that I've bought in the past is that they've thoughtfully included a couple sheets of stickers that you can use to indicate what month the filter was changed/is due for a change. That's a nice touch! They were also well packaged in a sturdy box with foam packaging on both ends to cradle them from the insults and injuries that packages suffer these days at the hands of the delivery companies. When I do swap these filters in, if they don't do their jobs, I will be sure to update my review.

This is a direct replacement for a 20+ y/o model 51252101 Kenmore refrigerator with water filter access located in the front lower ventilation grille. Sears used to charge $29/each. Great deal !

Arrived early than expected - Good item for the price and water taste good. Installation guide is very helpful - turn off water - empty out water - rotate anticlockwise to remove old filter - remove sticker from new filter - turn clock wise and fit the new filter - apply sticker for month that is came with shipment. I had renter staying in our home - and never been informed about filter changing requirement - when they vacate I checked filter - light was on and water taste was not good. I have GE refrigerator Model GSS25GSHBCSS and Filter Model WD-MWF. So was little confuse that I should buy this new one or not. But I checked specs and read reviews - so thank you guys. In my picture you can see removed filter - I tried to collect water out of it - it was yellowing. New filter working like a champ - it's been installed week ago - water pressure - taste and color all so good. Thank you.

I'll qualify this review by saying that I purchased these filters as a short-term solution while I wait for my reverse osmosis filter to be installed in my kitchen. I chose these as they were half the price of the other reputable option for black Berkey filters. They are made in China if that's important to you. The filters are about half the weight of the Black Berkey filters. The stems on the filters are curved at the very base and the plasticized (not rubber) washers that are included don't seem to sit flush, but I did not notice leakage once tightened into my Big Berkey. They primed easily and passed the red dye test. The water flows through the filters very quickly into the reservoir unlike the Black Berkey filters which are more of a drip or trickle. It took a mere 9 minutes to filter about half of the upper reservoir and now it has slowed to a trickle. At the point of my last photo, I hear almost nothing filtering through and that's with the water level at the bottom 1/3 of the filters. The water does NOT taste or smell like chlorine. I have used my Big Berkey with the Black Berkey filters for 3 years and have not had to replace them until now when one of them failed the red dye test. If I were going to continue to use this method of water filtration, I would invest in the more expensive filters made by Boroux.

I am only 1 week into owning this filter so I can't comment on how long it will last or how well it filters things like heavy metals or lead. Build quality: Very good. This thing is solid and heavy, even more so when you put water in it. I decided to not hang it to the side of my flimsy cabinet and instead set it on the floor under my kitchen sink. Ease of installation: Not bad. As you can see from the photo I marked on the filter the direction of water flow to make it more visible (small mark on top was not visible enough for me). AND I put reminders for myself which direction to twist the locking collar to tighten/loosen. When I first got the unit I tried taking the collar off with the supplied "wrench" but had no luck. Turns out dummy me was turning it the wrong way. DOH! I also used the supplied plumbers tape on all of the threads as the fittings felt a little to easy to tighten. The thread tape, if applied just to the threads and in the direction you will screw on the fittings, did a great job of stopping any leaks. I used 2 to 3 wraps and wrenches to ensure a good fit. Flow rate: Good This unit is rated at 1.6 gpm. It is not. My water flow from my kitchen sink has gone down, but not to the point where it annoys me. In fact it toned down my very high water pressure to a more reasonable level IMO. I did some testing while letting the water run for 10 minutes (per included instructions) after first installing the filter. In 3 minutes this filled up a 3 gallon bucket. Thus the water flow is around 1 gpm, not the advertised 1.6. Filter/taste: Very good taste I have not tested my water so I can not say factually if this thing actually removes a good amount of lead, heavy metals, cysts, etc. The company says it does but does not provide any fact based evidence or lab results. Based on that and the fact that this is a Chinese company makes me think that this .05 micron filter probably filters some heavy metals, but not as much as they claim. The water tastes noticeably better after installing the filter and now I am not as worried about my water when making coffee or boiling some pasta. Final verdict: If you want a well build filter housing that should last forever, was easy to install and makes good tasting water then I recommend this product. If you want verified heavy metal reductions then I would do more research. Nothing I saw in the advertising was more than words. IMO the company should send the filter that comes with this housing to a lab then post the actual results. Since they don't do this I am guessing the results are not that great in terms of reducing heavy metals and such in your water.

I was originally concerned about the box for these filters as it is just a plain cardboard box with one sticker. I included a side by side of the original LG water filter with the Waterdrop Plus filter, plus a picture of what all comes in the box (3 sets of reminder stickers, 3 filters, and an instruction pamphlet). I had no issue following the instructions and installing the filter.

We are on city water and it tastes funny We got a Breta Pitcher and used it for a couple of years now. I dropped and broke the pitcher =[ I was going to replace it with a new one, but thought it was time that we upgraded. I'm so glad we did!! We ordered this for under our sink. Installation took me like 15 minutes. It was super easy. I also ordered a dedicated drinking water faucet to match our existing sink faucet. It filters the water WAY BETTER than our Breta Pitcher and I don't have to warry about dropping it! =]

Water seems good and we really loved the stickers they included to remind us what month to replace the filter.

My family loves the product for its sleek faucet design and easy to fit-in structure. The faucet for me has a better convenience and connectivity. I have placed the D6 reverse osmosis water filtration system in my small kitchen, and let me break it you guys, it matches with every theme of my house. Now whenever my friends have a sip of this tasty water, they certainly inquire about the brand. I recommend it to them and also show them its high qualities. I had to call plumber every now and then, because I had this irritating issue of water obstruction and pressure: I would open the water but for the few seconds the faucet would make weird noises and there would be no water at all. Now with this product, I have complete peace of mind as the water flows fast and unreluctantly and I can enjoy washing veggies, fruits and dishes without any problem. Now the water flows without any problem in the speed and pressure and i can safely say this that it has made my experience even more enjoyable. My choice of selecting this product has also been motivated when the company also ensured a low drain rate, so to make my experience stressless as compared to other competitors in the market. Now I feel more confident in my choice and will buy more if required. My complete recommendation for the reader, purchase this product and it won’t disappoint you in any way. Its design, unobstructed water flow and low drain rate are some of the many features I have noticed in this great product. Much appreciated by my family so far.

Work great

A more affordable solution for water filters and compatible with Brita Steam

I love this gravity fed water filter system. Water tastes so much better. I use it for coffee, for cooking and anything I need water for. Know that you are supposed to take the system apart and clean once a month per instructions. I don’t have the spigot that tells you the water level. Will get that eventually. The water flow is fabulous. I have a friend who bought one from another maker then water drop and it takes all night to flow to the bottom. The price of this versus the big name one is pronounced. Well built and wouldn’t buy anything else if I need another one!!!

Due to a nonstandard installation (not under the sink), I had several questions concerning the fitting specifications. Contacting the Waterdrop customer service was easy, fast turnaround, and I got all my questions answered. Further, Carini, the Waterdrop Customer Service Rep followed up several days later inquiring if the information given solved my issues. I sent her a picture of the install as done. One of the best customer service experiences I've had from a waterdropoutlet.com supplier. As for the product, I couldn't be more pleased with the performance so far. My installation was bypassing a refrigerator filter and installing the Waterdrop filter in- line on a dedicated waterline from a Manabloc pex manifold. I ended up using 1/4" push to connect lines directly in and out of the filter and tied into the pex lines with crimp x 1/4" compression quarter turn valves. Refrigerator filters are rated at 200 gallons. The Waterdrop filters are rated at 8,000 and cost about 1/2 of the 200 gallon fridg filters. No brainer, eh? UPDATE 12/29/2024 So I ran into the problem within a month of water flow ever decreasing . Convinced it was a filter or filter head problem, I again contacted Waterdrop Customer Service. The service agent, Kayla, was quick to acknowledge the problem and expedited a replacement filter head. I installed, but it did not solve the problem. Upon letting Kayla know and my suggestion that it could be a filter cartridge problem, a replacement filter was delivered as well. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. Very frustrating but Kayla, did not stop with that but came up with several other suggestions including testing the water pressure. In short the water pressure coming in and out of the filter was more than adequate, 50-6- PSI. It turns out, the problem was the original refrigerator filter by-pass was malfunctioning causing the dispenser to tricklewater . My point is not explaining all the technical stuff, but how Waterdrop helped me solve a problem that ,it turns out, wasn't theirs. Over a two week period, Kayla was following up regularly, coming up with ideas and eventually put me on track. I wrote in the above review how I was impressed I was with this company's passion for good customer service and it has been reinforced by Kayla's actions once again. IMO, not too many companies today that offer this level of service.

The spigot fit my Berkey Royal water system and doesn’t leak. There is a red ball in the sight tube that helps me to see the water level (nice touch). The flow from the valve is much higher than the original. It looks very professional too.
