The box it came in was damaged but the unit was fine, no damage or scratches. I ordered the extra(small) tank and the MNR filter because I hooked it up to the fridge (LG). (also ordered the bypass for the fridge filter for a better flow). Because I didn't want to drill a hole in the counter I mounted the tap under the sink. I hooked it up to the fridge anyway! If I want to test the quality of the water I fill up a glass with tap it came with. It has display that shows it, which is a very nice feature IMO. I am an engineer so it was an EZ PZ install for me. :) The instructions are very good too. The small tank is behind the unit btw! (can't see it in the pic). Overall a good quality and quiet unit so far!
This is my 3rd time ordering these filters and for the second time this has happened. The first filter out of the pack was defective. After installing it and draining a gallon, the flow of the water/water pressure out of the dispenser decreased significantly. After 2 days, the pressure was so low that it wasn't able to support the ice maker cause my whole ice bin to be completely empty. I replaced it with the another filter out of the box, so far so good.
Well designed and filters water OK but doesn't raise the pH much, not very alkaline. I tested the water from this pitcher with ph test strips and the pH seems to be 7.5 or so, not very alkaline. See the photo I included of 3 ph test strips, left to right, they are: 1. Normal untreated tap water 2. Water from this alkaline water pitcher 3. Tap water to which I added alkaline water drops (Alkazone Alkaline booster), 6 drops per 8 oz cup. The pH indicated by #2 seems to not quite reach 8.

Of fluoride filters, it's cost, filtering and use shines as one of the best on the market. Price is not expensive lasting 3 months 320 gallons. Water flavor and texture tastes normal not weird, thick or thin. Easy, simple use, smaller then most filters. So glad to have finally found it after researching and trying other filters. It's so good that I gave them to family and friends to keep them in better health. Great product!
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The manufacturer of our fridge no longer makes water filters so it was time to find a new water filter solution. Our local tap water tastes pretty terrible and I do not want to buy bottled water. The filtered water from this system has a great flow rate and tastes very neutral - exactly how water should taste. I did not evaluate the water before and after installation for particulates. I would classify my plumbing skills as intermediate and the installation of this filter took me about 90 minutes with 75% of that time spent fighting the ergonomics of being under the sink. The hardest part was pre-installation removing our old crusty soap dispenser (to use the existing hole in the counter). This filter comes with everything you need (including plumbing tape!) to install, minus a small wrench to loosen and retighten your existing and new cold water fittings. It includes the cold water adapter as well, no need to buy anything. I elected to not mount the filter with screws since we have electricity on one side of the cabinet and the dishwasher on the other. I instead used command strips and tacky (see pictures) to take most of the weight off of the filter itself and provide security in case something bumps into the filter. My only qualm with this filter system is that my box had no instructions! No QR codes, nothing. Fortunately, I found a great video on YouTube that walks through the entire installation process (search “water drop under sink filter installation” and you’ll find it). Will update this review if anything changes, but for now I’m a fan!
Have been using it for almost 3 weeks now. Water tastes good and the speed is pretty fast then Brita. Will update this in future if there are some issues.
Under normal circumstances this is a 15 minute install. But of course me being me,it ended up taking me about 3 hours, because the person that installed the sink in our granite countertop couldn't take the time to shorten the lines. He just shoved everything up behind the Deep sink, which made it exceptionally hard for me to drag everything down and put together. But after defeating him , it was well worth the time and effort. I've enclosed a few photos the show underneath the sink and the finished product above. Highly recommend the setup. It's a 6 stage filter, well worth the money. I highly recommend the system and the company that produced it.
The filter fits water drop K6 perfectly. It comes with a handy instruction on changing the filter and flush it.
Sometimes, we do not recognize that our replacement parts might be of a better quality. Well, luckily, I gave it a try! This filter replacement worked well for me.
I really like this system. It was pretty easy to install. Most importantly, the water taste great. I like it so much I bought another one for my brother!
We purchased this to replace our 3M motorhome water filter. The water quality has improved immensely. Would buy again.
This might be one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! We usually have to drink bottled water because our water at home is filled with chlorine. We were upgrading our sink which came with a regular faucet and then a small soap pump dispenser which this faucet fit perfectly into where the soap pump would go. Water is crystal clear and no taste or smell. Super easy to install ourselves. And no more buying expensive cases of water and having to dispose of the water bottles. Highly recommended!
The head is different like most reviewers have said but it was a plug and play out the box.
UPDATE Sept 2022: At 2 yrs the MRO filter must be replaced which I did. I also wrote my original review. Shortly after that replacement some black stuff came out of the dedicated faucet. I held my cup under the faucet, turned on the water and watched the black string come out of the faucet!!!! I have been suffering with abdominal cramps since Aug 1st and I realized that the problem started soon after I replaced the filters. I contacted the company. They told me I had to send a picture. I did. The same as I am attaching here. I also confirmed that installation was by a licensed plumber using all parts received from Waterdrop and that the first filter never had any such problem the entire 2 yrs. The black debris started after the replacement was installed and happed twice. Yesterday I had my water tested by an independent local entity. The results proved that the carbon filter is working perfect but the MRO is not working. A functional RO filter should resullt in TDS of less than 20 and mine was at 63 which is almost no filtration at all. They did not have the equipment to test the debris that came out of the dedicated faucet and I will have to send it off to another lab. The technician believes that the MRO filter may have been defective and that it is degrading. I included this information in my email to Waterdrop. They Waterdrop response was: "Waterdrop Representative #1 (Waterdropfilter Customer Service) Sep 11, 2022, 01:24 PDT Hi, Thanks for your reply; I really appreciate your time and effort. 1. I'm sorry for all the inconvenience caused, but again, the items in your picture is not coming out of our filters, for that we are sure." Again, I WATCHED IT spew out!!! I have a dr appt in 11 days and I will update this post but in the meanwhile I am only using bottled water. Today is day 3 of strictly bottled water and today is the best day I've had with my abdominal spasms since Aug 1st..............coincidence???? May 2022: Just had it's 2nd birthday. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Water tastes as good as NYC tap water, it's easy to change the cartridges which for me last 1 yr for top one and 2 yrs for lower one. I use this water exclusively for all consumption - drinking, cooking, washing veggies/fruit etc. The MOST IMPORTANT thing I believe is their customer service. Not only does a live person answer the phone but the email communication and follow up communication is exceptional. Reminds me of times long ago when customers were treated as VIPs. I would definitely recommend and I have recommended to my friends and family ;). Great Buy.
