  • Takes all the Chlorine out of the water and the impurities. We are on a municipal well and my water with The Water Drop Filter is like bottled water. Wouldn’t cook with water that’s not filtered through the Waterdrop.

  • I gave a 4 rating because of the type of plastic, don't like the plastic used. If higher quality it would be a 5 star product. Water taste is good, the design is perfect. I love the way it functions. Another drawback but not a big deal is you can't see the min and max line you have to hunt for it making filling a possible problem. Size is perfect.

  • Nice alternative to the GE OEM filter. Seems to work fine with excellent fit and no leaks.

  • So I bought this filter because it seemed like a high-flow filter with decent reviews. It came with the needed plumbing parts for installation. And although I wouldn't call it "great-tasting", it did improve the taste of the tap water. That's it for the positives, now the negatives... First, installation was a pain--the filter body is much longer than anticipated. I have a "normal" size sink and cabinet, but to fit the filter (so I could remove/replace it), I had to install the bracket above the bottom of the sink, which was very difficult. Contrary to their claim, the flow was noticeably reduced, but it was tolerable to fill a glass of water (or coffee pot) without getting too frustrated. Honestly, even with these quirks, I still would've been satisfied. However, third, and most important, it is now less than 2 months after install and my cold water flow is more like a leak. As the attached pic shows, my 5 month old grandson has drool that flows faster than the cold water on my sink. The flow is, of course, unchanged for hot water. I tried re-installing the filter (again, what a pain--it is even harder now that the filter is full of water), but that had no effect. And with only the two of us in the house, it has been used a lot less than most family households. Honestly, I am going to have to bypass the filter completely, and go look for a replacement, because there is no way I am buying another filter every 2 months! UPDATE: Their tech support responded to my issue, and asked me to try "reverse flush" the system. This was also more difficult than it had to be, but I got it done, and that seems to have resolved the issue. Raised my review to 3 stars, for now... UPDATE: they ended up sending me a different filter housing and filter (essentially just replaced the product, albeit with a much smaller filter--11K imstead of 30K), which definitely worked a lot better. And when I was ready to replace the filter, then sent 3 more filters, but smaller 6K ones. So at least I am getting 29K of the 30K I originally purchased. I am raising my review to 4 stars, mostly based on the polite and responsive tech support.

  • I have been using this filter system for several months. I was just trying it out so I hadn't bought backup filters. Recently I noticed the water pressure had been dropping. I opened the filter to see what you now see... and I ordered more right away! I will definitely be keeping backups on hand from now on.

  • UPDATED: Ordered on the THU, arrived on SUN. Received a box of four (4) filters. These filters have an unusual appearance (compared to other filters we have used). They resemble a compressed cotton but the instructions state that they filter to 5 microns. They fit perfectly into our whole house sediment filter canister. I will now monitor it and see what happens. Given 5 stars as of now, I will provide an update in a few weeks on their performance and update the rating as necessary by their effectiveness. UPDATE: I have had this filter in place for a little over a week, check out photo #6 (last photo), it is doing an incredible job at filtering out sediment in my well water.

  • I installed my filters after priming them as usual and with my Berkey accessories that make it super easy to attach to the faucet. The water bubbled up from the outside, flowed out, and ran clear quickly. After installed and doing a test run the water that came "filtered" through my system is not actually filtered and is even slightly higher in both TDS (ppm)= weight of dissolved solids and EC=conduction current, compared to the water straight from my tap. That is hard water levels or a bit higher. Ideal drinking water is 0-50 TDS and my distilled 5 gallon water jug at home reads 28 in comparison. Sooo ... very disappointed to say the least. I gave 2 stars only because I just reached out to customer service this evening, on a Saturday through email and hope to come to some kind of resolution here and hopefully up this rating if they have filters that will work. If not I have to rush a return to waterdropoutlet.com to not lose quite a chunk of money and change this to 1 star, find a better brand or back to Berkey filters. I know people say you get what you pay for but jeez I honestly expected at least some filtration from these, researched, and read reviews. People must have no idea what kind of water is coming out of these.

  • I bought this product back in April and within 2 months my countertop RO unit was dripping water from the dispenser nozzle during use. I reached out to customer service to ask if they could provide any replacement parts (because obviously some type of seal is bad), but their advice was to clean the nozzle with a soft-bristle brush (I tried it and this didn't fix the issue). I decided to live with the issue (if I escalated further, I'd have to ship in my product and go without it for who knows how long) but eventually found the time to dig deeper. If you're nifty with repairing consumer electronics/appliances, you can pop off the front white plastic faceplate (held together with a friction fit) using a cheap electronics opening kit. Disconnect 2 tubes and 1 wire, plus pop off some more friction fit plastic (on the black glossy cover for the dispenser), and you've gained access the nozzle unit itself. Looking at the actual dispenser nozzle assembly, the design flaw is readily apparent. There is a set of 3 holes on the top of the assembly, plus a bunch of holes in the circumference of the lower nozzle (the part you see during normal use). There are 2 O-rings in the nozzle area, but the glaringly obvious flaw is that neither of these cover the holes that are providing the water leakage path during use. I guess this design is supposed to provide an air vent (for smooth water dispensing), but covering up the top holes with PTFE tape got rid of my leaking issue without making my water dispensing any choppier. If this were a cheaper product I'd be willing to overlook this issue and give it more stars, but for $250 it should have a more reliable and user serviceable design. I initially thought I'd be able to keep this for 10 years, but now I'm not sure how long I have until running into the next issue.

  • This filter surprisingly is better than expected. I used to have the Brita that would filter the water as you poured, but they discontinued it. That filter still will have the tap water taste in some way, shape, or form. I started purchasing bottled water until I found a filter that really worked. Not only does this filter hold a lot of water, but the water tastes amazing. It doesn’t take up too much space either. I’m not sure why some people didn’t like it because that kept me skeptical about purchasing it, but I’m happy I purchased it anyways. It does explain how to discard the water from the first to fill in along with other rules. However, I’m a plant mom, so I used the water to water my plants. I would say the only downside is waiting for the water to filter through. After the first time you fill the top and it filters, you can fill the top again and put it directly in the fridge, which would filter while the water is getting cold.

  • Kinda forgot about them after installing the new system complete with the spin down filter... i just replaced the filters after 2 years from switching out my old well water filter system. I set a reminder to check them in a year to replace this time.

  • Easy to use and install great build quality! Perfect functionality and water taste great! Best filter

  • Works as it should, I suppose. I have descent amount of pressure at the faucet.

  • I did my homework, refrigerator model listed as compatible... check! GS5SHAXNB01 is in the list. Water filter model replacement listed, check! WF-NL240 is in the list! Should fit, right? WRONG! The first replacement went in but was really tough to turn into place. I didn't think much of it at the time. But when I went to put the second filter in, and it was more difficult than I expected I looked at the first one and compared with the factory filter (I still had that because I planned to cut into both to compare but I hadn't done that yet...) I'm a DIY guy and what was obvious given the look of the one removed was the lock appears to be too thick and since I didn't have local access to a replacement I decided to try trimming the new filter. With a pocket knife I shaved off about 1/16 or 1/32" from the new filter and guess what... it locked into place without much effort! Well, without much effort beyond fighting to get it in the first time, investigating the problem, cleaning up the spilled water, shaving down the locking plastic and reinstalling. In all about an hour of frustration and getting totally pissed because my back was against the wall and my daughter was pissed that I was not being nice to her in the process. So thanks Waterdrop!! What should have been an easy water filter replacement was anything but easy. I've attached 3 pictures two are of the removed filter showing how it obviously wasn't a good fit, the third shows what the whirlpool filter looks like after removed for comparison, well there is no comparison one worked out of the box, the waterdrop one doesn't!
