This water filtration system was really easy to install and it works great. You just have to find the correct attachment for your spigot and then it twists right on. You just push the big silver button to switch between regular tap water and filtered water. if you’re used to bottled water or spring water the filtered water from this device may taste a little unusual but not bad. The biggest difference is that because it removes everything including natural minerals, the water simply has no flavor at all so it might take some getting used to. However, it definitely tastes better than regular tap water.

I have two refrigerators that use this filter cartridge. In the first (Thermador T36FT820NS, same as a Bosch 800 French door refrigerator) it works just fine. Here the filter resides in the upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment; the filter is easy to grasp to twist it on/off the filter fitting. In the second (Thermador T30BB925SS) the filter sits below the freezer drawer. To make it possible to grab the filter and twist it on/off the fitting (since it sits inside the refrigerator body by about 2 inches), there is an extension handle that clips on to molded openings on the end of the original Bosch filter (filter on right side of picture.) The Waterdrop filter, despite the same model number, does NOT have these molded openings. (Left side filter in picture.)There is a molded tab on the Waterdrop filter that the extension handle will slip over, though not securely.

I am not sure how long it was before I noticed the failure (my water bill will tell the tail), but I have never seen a hose connector fail. I haven’t tested the efficacy of the filter - I hope it works better than their accessories. I would either buy or make a connector. very dissatisfied and will not buy again.

I use this for my aquarium . I tested the water from tap left side vial and then with the filter and i can see the chlorine test was almost negative

It leaked over night, I am not sure how... But even if it does filter water there is still a strange taste (better than the original tap water taste) . I guess, that it can be ok if it stops leaking.

Can’t tell the difference between the 2 filter (Brand), The great side is 12 vs 6 months,

The Waterdrop -AS08 was just what I needed: a filter to intercept the water line feeding a plumbed espresso machine. The stainless housing stands sturdily without needing to mount (though one is included if desired) and coordinates well with the chromed machine. It is easy to set up, with several sizes of quick-connect hose collets included. With 8000 gallons of lifespan for the filter inside it won't require swapping out every 3-5 months like our fridge water supply did. Waterdrop customer service made sure I got relatively quickly the right parts and connections I needed (3/8" female compressions on both ends, though normally it comes with only one). That said my full house water system is carbon filtered and balanced for the right amount of hardness in the softness to still taste good while preventing long term scale issues. Thus I needed this Waterdrop filter mostly just to make sure if any sediment occurs in the supply while coursing through the house's plumbing from the master filter, that it won't end up in my boilers. Thus any taste benefit this filter may confer is hard to judge. Aesthetically I wanted a filter that looks clean and shiny since it isn't hidden from view. Kudos for this design—no ugly labels to look at. The only complaint is that it doesn't ship with the stainless-colored braided hoses quite as pictured in the listing. They come with unsightly red 'candy cane striping'. Thus since my hoses are visible instead of hidden it's a small distracting detail that's less than thrilling. Waterdrop had stainless-color-only hoses that they were willing to send instead, but they are the wrong size of quick connectors to fit the filter cylinder itself. Otherwise I'm very satisfied with the item and Waterdrop's commitment to good service.

I've had this for 14 months so far and no signs of needing to replace the filter for the first time yet. I bought a replacement filter just in case and it's been collecting dust for quite awhile now. On average, I drink about 150 oz per day from it. I know several people in my town who buy all their drinking water and I can't imagine how much I'd be saving if I had converted from doing the same.

This is only to the process (havent run water through it yet as my old filter not due for replacement yet). As with others I tested these new ones after using the older head design version (last time I purchased was feb 2022). Contacted customer service and they sent a tool that acts like a filter connector and slightly turns the plastic part in the refrigerator filter assembly that receives the filter. The innermost piece (two curved notches) was at slight diagonal (the wrong position/left side of attached photo). Adjusted to get it to the right/upright position and now it locks (when pull doesn't come right out). Two things great customer service and I think they should include tool with new filters or put it in the description to reach out to them if need tool (it was free). Secondly the newly designed filter connectors not attaching to assembly I feel is slightly because of the new design since the slight offset (before adjustment) of that innermost plastic piece in the refrigerator assembly still connects the old filters (roughly pre feb 2022) just fine. However I now notice that when you remove filters you dont just turn it you have to apply some forward/inward pressure while unlocking to keep that piece turning all the way properly or otherwise it will release filter a little early and slightly offset piece.

The filter is good but the hose connector is defective. Installed and when I got home from work the yard was flooded since the piece came apart. Seller should refund a portion or send replacement.

Although the product is described to be compatible with part 817413, the connection locking point is not compatible as can be seen in the attached photo. Hope I can find a replacement filter that does fit.

We have not installed this water filter yet, so I cannot review functionality yet. We have new granite countertops going in soon, so I am glad to have this already for positioning of the hole. The product looks to be good quality. I like the brushed nickle faucet it is heavy if that is any indication of quality. The instructions are well written for a product made in China and I noticed there is a QR code on the box for watching an installation video. I will update this post after it has been in use. The price seems fair for a product that will most likely be used every day.

Have purchased several of these of some years and now just having a problem with the filter fitting. Have discovered that the two notches are a bit too long (see photo) and need to be shaved. As you can see, as I tried to install the filter over several attempts, there an indention in the plastic. I eventually took an Exacto knife and shaved down the plastic 'leader' notch on both sides of the filter. Just as I have cirled in the picture, you only need to shave down that one part that's identical on each side. Thankfully, the plastic is soft enough to cut into and knock off what you need for the filter to fit. Manufacturer- PLEASE FIX!

So glad I picked this up. This is a great alternative choice from either fridge or pitcher water dispensers. We have been using a Brita since our current fridge filters are hard to come by and expensive. The pitcher has been okay, but the filter process is slow and doesn't filter as well as newer fridges. So far this seems like the perfect option to get on demand quality filtration without the fridge. This unit is also way easier to clean and maintain compared to fridge variants. The unit itself appears well made to be practical in design and function. Setup is simple and intuitive. The filter is quite large which hopefully translates to effectiveness. Tastewise, the water is similar to any freshly installed fridge filter source. Refilling, charging, cleaning and filter replacement is all intuitive without any inconvenient issues. The water dispense speed is on the slower side, but beats the Brita for overall convenience and filtration. The unit is also surprisingly compact, similar in size to a fullsize pitcher. The tank has robust bail style handle for easy transport or can be refilled directly from the top lid. Really like this product overall and it's made by a reputable filter brand which should make filter replacement reliable and cost effective.

This pitcher is great.Keeps your water cold. I've had pur filter pitchers and zero water pitchers, but the water tastes much better from this than anything i've had. I only have to charge it once a month. And it needs to be cleaned once a month. I found it doesn't leak and it's convenient to use. I love. Cold water but I hate making ice. The filter seems to last a long time because the water tastes great for quite a while. Compared to other pictures and filters that I bought in Walmart and n other stores , this one seems to last a lot longer. I love to be able to press to start and press to stop. No lifting out heavy pictures full of water get it right from the refrigerator. I only have to fill once every two days. Functions as advertised and the size is great.
