It takes a while to set up before first use. But it is useful to get hot water fast.

Waterdrop has not figured out the configuration of the newer LG refrigerator filter (LT1000P) connections. The mating feature on the filter will not connect to the refrigerator adapter. Several videos have been posted on YouTube and Waterdrop includes a flier with their filters showing how the incorrect filter will damage the refrigerator adapter. Waterdrop and others blame this on a design flaw by the refrigerator manufacturer - this is not true. An original LG LT1000P has a significantly different design. I removed and reinstalled it several times to convince myself that it is just fine. The Waterdrop filter mating feature has significant differences that prevent proper installation (see illustration).

Waterdrop meets a 4th NSF Standard (372) to protect against lead that the Samsung brand does not. And they are a third of the price of Samsung. Fitment shape (see pic) appears the same. No leaks after installing. Water tastes the same as from Samsung filter.

Nice material, very sturdy with flexibility! Does not come with bit valve, but I use with Sawyer filters. Like the strap to hang off tree when camping. Good value at price point.

Easy to install , comes with everything you need, can filter 19k gallons of water before it needs to be changed , at leased thsts what they claim, I use it for my espresso machine so 19k gallons of coffee will take me years , I might have to change it sooner lol, quality build replacement filter costs half the price of the unit , 30$ as of November 2023.

I compared this filter directly against a new OEM cartridge. I wasn't able to measure water quality but I did check total dissolved solids. The incoming tap water measured 150ppm TDS. The OEM filter which was overdue for replacement was reducing the TDS to under 100ppm. This replacement cartridge did not reduce TDS and the reading was 150ppm, the same as the incoming tap water. The seller does not claim it reduces TDS, just be aware that compared to the OEM filter, it will not reduce TDS. The housing and connection end of the filter are slightly less robust (thinner o-rings) but it attached correctly and there are no leaks. The water is very clear and tastes clean. A less expensive option than OEM cartridges.

Look at the picture. Clearly this is meant to be deceptive. "Multi-stage Efficient Filtration". It shows everything it filters out, but this DOES NOT FILTER LEAD. This is false advertising. waterdropoutlet.com should remove this vender. I will be contacting waterdropoutlet.com. Yes, I understand that this filter passes standards for not containing lead. But clearly, this vender advertises that this filter will filter lead. It does not.

We began noticing sediments in the water 3 months after we purchased and installed this filter. I finally removed it and filter was full of plastic like sediments. Not certain how long we drank these foreign stuff but quite disappointed of what I found.

I bought this filter because it is easy to install saves space under my cabinet

Used this filter on a wilderness camping trip in upper Michigan. Used water from the lake, and it filtered it perfectly. No taste to the water. A little bulky for backpacking but it's lightweight.

i never write reviews but this thing deserves it. love the color, fits nicely in my fridge and works very well. my only complaint is it dispenses a bit slow, sometimes i walk away while my cup is filling to do something else but compared to say a fridge water dispenser its not that much slower. definitely easier than a britta that takes forever to filter the water and is annoying to pour, i love that you can drink the water immediately and it tastes great. very worth it

UPDATE: HAD ISSUES WHICH WERE RESOLVED QUICKLY, VIA LIVE CHAT, AND EMAIL. GREAT CS !!- Fabulous water filter! It's nicely built, has a good solid base, but not too heavy. Easy to carry around if needed. And the automatic water feeder is perfect for my arthritic hands: it would be difficult to pick up a pitcher. All in all, so far the price was right, The device looks great on my counter.

I got this specifically to filter water going to the fridge. It came with 2 connectors that had 3/8" male and female screw ends but I discovered that the inlet and outlet of the filter was actually 1/4". This made it so convenient to just connect 1/4" PEX lines from the wall outlet to the fridge (bought separately). It is made clear on the website description that it does not do TDS and that is true. My water tested 125 on the TDS meter from the tap and it was the same post-filtered. Flow does slow just a tad but that is to be expected considering it is going through 3 filters and there no signs of leak. I tried having the filter stand up and laying flat on its back. This would help folks that do not have space behind the fridge and want to lay it flat on top of the fridge. Overall I recommend this water filter as it is easy to install and easy to replace.
