Purchased this unit for my water service which has a very high Chlorine level and smell. I process my water in the home for drinking through an single under counter cold water filter/faucet currently and then processed that through a filtration pitcher. In an effort to start the process sooner and hopefully remove having to use the pitcher portion. I installed this 2 stage housing unit with the base filters to start with. I am happy with the product from the installation level and it went in pretty easy. I installed it after the pressure valve and meter as you can see in the picture, and I need to add a tie-in with a check valve to the outside hose bib, for filter change startup running of the water, but for now I just run the cold water through the sink in the kitchen. It has drastically reduced the chlorine smell in the hot water of the shower and it functions as the starting point. The standard filters that came with it however did not reduce the chlorine level as much as I would have liked to see. I will be changing out the 2nd stage filter for a better grade unit to see if that gets the result I am looking for, which is to get to a point of not having to use the pitcher and just passing the drinking water through the under counter filter, after if has passed through the whole house filter. I did not give it 5 stars because even though the unit was extremely simple to install, I feel the mounting bracket could be a bit stronger and more stable. The current bracket flexes with very little pressure on the filters. I don't see any issue for a problem down the line in the future, I just would have preferred something that did not flex as much as it does. I do highly recommend the housing unit for anyone looking for a basic 2 stage unit. The only suggestion is to make sure that your filter options will meet your needs for your project.

I decided to add this to my G3P600 to add another level of peace of mind in using the filtered water in my CPAP machine. To my surprise it also improved overall water quality. The one con is that water flow rate is restricted slightly. Before adding the UV light my unit would fill 1 gal jug of water in 1 1/2mins. After adding the UV light the time went to 2 mins. Not a big deal considering the added quality and peace of mind. After doing personal water quality tests on my local tap, RO water, store bought drinking, and distilled water, the only thing purer than my current WaterDrop RO water is store bought distilled. Wait for a sale at WaterDrop and pick the UV light up for around $100.

If you're a car enthusiast who values maintaining a pristine, spot-free shine on your vehicle, a spotless car wash system with resin and a deionized water (DI) system might be your ultimate solution. Designed to leave your car looking professionally detailed, these systems are becoming increasingly popular among DIY car detailers. Resin Filters are at the heart of this system. They remove calcium, magnesium, iron, and other hard water ions through ion exchange. As the water passes through the resin, it becomes deionized, ensuring that you won’t have to worry about annoying spots or residues on your car after washing. Pros and Cons Pros: Eliminates water spots, reducing the need for additional drying. Protects your car's paintwork from mineral damage. Easy to set up and maintain. Saves time and effort in washing and detailing. Cons: Requires replacement of resin cartridges. The initial investment may be higher than traditional washing methods. Effectiveness may vary based on the hardness of your local water supply. Conclusion A spotless car wash deionized water system is a game-changer for achieving that professional-level, spot-free shine on your vehicle. While the upfront cost might be higher than your average garden hose wash, the benefits—like preserving your car’s paint and reducing the need for costly detailing—make it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about maintaining their vehicle's appearance. Investing in a spotless car wash system is an investment in your car’s longevity and shine. Say goodbye to water spots and hello to a flawless finish every time!

Installation was very straightforward—took less than 30 minutes. Just note that you’ll need a wrench, which wasn’t included. Water flow is still strong after installation. My wife says she can tell a difference in taste and smell, though I didn’t personally notice much. Still, for peace of mind with PFAS and other contaminants, it’s a good value. Would recommend.

I normally buy my filters from the local drugstore, but the quality has gone downhill since the pandemic. The gasket always leaks, and charcoal soot comes out of the top and bottom. I usually run water through them and shake the filter for a few minutes until the water runs clear. That's why I'm interested in finding alternatives. This filter looks different from the OEM filters. The top has a plastic grill, and the bottom of the filter has two drain holes. I always clean the filter under running water before I install it to rinse off any chemical mold release and clear out any soot. I did not see any soot come out of the bottom of this filter, so that's a good sign. I did not notice any soot coming out of the top either. Next, I installed the filter and tightened it by hand. The gasket did have a small leak, so I used a paper towel to give it extra torque. That stopped the leak. When I began filtering water again, I noticed that it fills the pitcher really fast. You can actually see the level rising. Water comes out of the holes in small streams. It's almost as fast as a Brita filter. I was a little skeptical about the performance, because the product description said that it removes most dissolved solids. So, I was expecting to see numbers higher than 0. When I tested the water it read 000. The tap water was originally 127. I was very pleased and impressed. I always thought water had to drip out slowly to get 0 TDS. This product comes in a plain brown box, and the filters are sealed in a thick plastic bag. There is a small sticker on the box saying that it's made in China, with the address of the company in Qingdao, China. Overall, this is a very good clone of the OEM filter. It provides 0 TDS, and the flow is very fast compared to the original. With the coupon, this is a great value at around 11 bucks each. The only thing I didn't test was the longevity. The OEM filters usually lasts no more than 3.5 weeks, so if this fails early, I will revise my rating. For now, I will give it 5 stars.

UPDATE: Customer Service contacted me to resolve this issue. It was recommended to obtain another product with tools to be able to easily replace the water filter. I’m happy with the replacement item and very happy with Customer Service for contacting me and working with me. Kudos to the company and customer service for their outstanding service. Keep up the good work! Changed from one star to five stars PREVIOUSLY: I wanted to like this product because of small foot print on my counter and how it looks. However, when I tried to open it to check on the filter and tried to close it back, it was a major struggle even with large strong hands. The problems are: (a) there’s no grip/grid outside the canister to easily twist to open and close, (b) slippery to grab and hold while twisting, (c) future filter replacement maintenance will be too much of a hassle, problem and trouble, especially after being closed/locked for a period of time. Will need an oil change filter wrench (pictured) to be able to open and close the canister. Will return it ASAP!

Just unboxed my water dispenser. It’s BEAUTIFUL! Fantastic design. Slim for my rv counter. However I unboxed the item and filled the container with water from a water bottle and my counter was flooded. There’s a small drain hole on the bottom of the container. Unfortunately a plug wasn’t included.

Was kind of worried - but this product turned out to be a big relief and a dream. Replacing (what I thought was) a hard to replace filter) and one where I had to search for a long time for this particularly size/model. Well this delivered on all counts. A perfect fit - plug and play -- even though this one was half the size of our old one. Water clear and pure. A great price and a huge sigh of relief.

Fits perfectly in the place of my FXRC, which is no longer made.

I run a two filter system (in series) for my water supply. The first is the plain white 5 micron sediment filter followed by a carbon filter. In this case it is also 5 microns. This way I get no particles and have great tasting water. There is a bit of confusion about the micron size on this filter. The actual label on the filter does not say. The title on waterdropoutlet.com says 5 microns. The second image on waterdropoutlet.com says 1 micron... I suspect it is really 5 microns. I like the date labels they include so I don't need masking tape and a marker to write the date myself. The price is a great value for a 4 pack.

The process of setting up was easy and directions are easy to follow. Took about half a day to get used to using the system and so far it’s working great. I do not use the heating option though, only the clean water for drinking because I drink over a gallon of water a day myself. I use my electric tea kettle for hot water. It is super convenient how smart this product is and I really appreciate the ease of use. It’s a solid built system and the water tastes excellent. If you plan to place this under a cabinet and have lower cabinets as I do, you may have to slide the unit out to refill the water reservoir each time. We chose to place it in a location not under a cabinet for ease of access because it is quite tall. I’ll include a snapshot.

I was a Brita boy long ago. But I found a few video reviews of this dispenser and was hooked. First, it fits really well in my refrigerator (I really like the built-in curve on the bottom for sliding the dispenser forward just over the shelf hump to fill a cup). Second, water is filtered so fast, it's ready to be dispensed within a couple of minutes. And it tastes a lot better than the unfiltered tap water, even at the same temperature (I like to think my palate is particular, since I worked in the wine industry for eight years). In addition, I found a review of a filter test. This brand removed more chlorine and other bad-tasting substances than Brita and other brands. True, it doesn't remove a lot of TDS (total dissolved solids); that's a job for expensive reverse-osmosis filters and distillers, which usually have to be installed by a plumber. And that will set you back $200 to $3,000, depending on the system. The capacity is perfect for my wife and me. We can fill a couple of water bottles for hiking and still have a lot left for the house. I can also use the contents for making pasta, which is affected by the water's taste. Also, the 18-cup size isn't too heavy or cumbersome for us to carry from the sink to the fridge. I've had this for three days, so I can't comment on the filter indicator light or the filter life. Update August 8, 2022: After the fourth refilling about four days ago, I noticed that the filter had slowed to almost no drainage. I emailed the company. Within 12 hours, they answered by saying I needed to shake the filter horizontally 'til I heard a rattle (it's sand, so it's more of a shushing sound). They also said they would send me a three-pack of filters for free. Yesterday, I received the pack. I prepped a new filter according to the enclosed manual and filled the dispenser (2 fillings). Today, for the third filling, the filter hole closest to the spigot began to falter. I emptied the reservoir, removed the filter, shook it, and replaced it. Problem solved. For now. I think, taking other reviews into account, that this issue will continue. To be fair, I haven't had my water tested for solids. Yet, I haven't had to clean my faucet aerators. Still, I really like the taste of the water, the capacity and design, and the speed of the filtering (when it works). Shaking the filter once in a while is no big deal. So I'm going to stick with this product. UPDATE (AUGUST 29): Since I started using this product June 27, I've gone through two filters and yesterday had to insert a third. At approximately $12 per filter, this has become unacceptable. I followed the manufacturer's instructions for unclogging the filters (shaking horizontally, running water directly on filter), but the flow would, after one or two refills, stop. For each filter. So this is not a fluke. Thankfully, after pleading my case, waterdropoutlet.com kindly extended the return policy past 30 days for me and sent a return label. UPDATE (SEPT. 9): Waterdrop, after I contacted them a second time, sent me another pack of filters and followed up with three emails asking if things were any better. Although they knew I bought this though waterdropoutlet.com and the 30-day return period expired, they offered a full refund if I continued to have problems. So far, I haven't had any issues with the product. The present filter has functioned as expected for the past week with five refills. However, I observed that if I fill the reservoir and move the dispenser from the sink to elsewhere, the filter's flow becomes erratic. So I just leave the thing in the sink until it's done filtering. Then I put it in the fridge. Problem solved. I'm keeping this thing. I changed my rating to four stars, since the product has a bit of a quirk.

It was only $34 with tax and I now have pure tapwater for two more years or 16,000 gallons. It’s so easy to install and to replace the filter. It’s a simple matter of unscrewing the old one and screwing in the new one. The water purification unit has five layers of filtration. I used heavy duty Velcro to attach it to the side of the cabinet, and the Velcro enables leveling adjustments. and I set it on top of a little shelf made up of some of the Styrofoam packaging materials. This little shelf keeps the lines from being stressed and allows the unit to remain level and stable so that it can filtrate optimally.

The opening on this filter is not the same as the LT1000P that came with our refrigerator. It did not fit properly on our LG LFXS26596S. The first two photos are of this filter. The second two are of our current filter. This isn't to say that this isn't a quality filter. It just isn't an exact match to the LT1000P that LG provided with our new refrigerator, and it didn't seem to sit properly when I attempted to install it.
